Wow! What an awesome blog post! Congratulations on completing your first activity! I love how you have taken the time to design a cool post, awesome bright colours make it stand out!! Ka pai!
It is a great way to engage your readers in the text. Four points for Isla!!! YES!!

Those are some great facts about Maui. I especially like the one about him singing a Karakia. This is so important for the Maori culture! Do you sing a karakia at school?

Maybe you could add a short paragraph about some other Maui stories you know, and which one is your favourite? Mine would be Maui slowing down the sun!

Can’t wait to read more of your blogs!

    Cadence :)

    1. Hi Cadence

I don't sing karakia's at school. I might update the post and put a paragraph about the seven stars, that's my favorite!

      Thanks for the comment Bye

    2. Hello Isla

Lovely to hear from you! Apologies for my late reply. I was away over the Christmas break.

That is no worries at all if you don't know a karakia, but I would love to hear more about the Seven Star's story. I don't think I am familiar with that one. Can you tell me what it's about? :)

      Thanks,

      Cadence :)

  3. Good afternoon Isla,

Welcome to the Summer Learning Journey, and well done on finishing your first activity; I know that sometimes it can be a little bit hard to get started so ka pai e hoa.
As Cadence has pointed out, your design is so cool and the bright colours do help it to pop.

What do you think of Maui? He sounds pretty ruthless, punching himself in the nose to use the blood as bait. I wonder why his brother’s wouldn’t lend him any bait, do you know?
If Maui were your brother, would you share with him your bait?

Keep up the great blogging and awesome designs Isla! I look forward to reading more.

    Cheers,

    Jordan.
